Description

The rapid growth of internet-connected devices, cloud services, and modern network infrastructure has accelerated the exhaustion of available IPv4 addresses. To address this challenge and support the continued expansion of the internet, IPv6 was developed as the next-generation networking protocol, providing a vastly larger address space and enhanced capabilities for modern networks.

This course is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of IPv6, covering core concepts such as addressing, notation, address types, registries, routing, and practical deployment. As IPv6 adoption continues to increase worldwide, network professionals are expected to understand how to design, implement, and manage IPv6-enabled networks.

A combination of theory and hands-on labs ensures both conceptual understanding and practical experience. Lab exercises can be completed using four MikroTik routers, a PC, and an internet connection. Alternatively, GNS3 with MikroTik CHR images can be used to emulate the lab environment on a single computer.

Whether the goal is to prepare for the MikroTik MTCIPv6E certification exam, expand networking expertise, or gain the skills needed to deploy IPv6 in real-world environments, this course provides the knowledge and practical experience necessary to confidently work with IPv6 on MikroTik platforms.
